Fox River
Farm & Forest School
Immerse your children in all that Mother Nature has to offer! Forest school provides the biggest challenges and rewards as we learn a deeper meaning of who we are and where we come from. Home base is at our mini homestead just south of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Children connect with small farm animals, chickens, ducks, quail, rabbits, and work and play in our organic gardens gaining first hand experience on how and where their food comes from. We adventure from there on a series of trails where we build forts, play in creeks, visit pond animals, tell stories, play and learn, create art, and build friendships!
Experiential teaching practices guide children through their own interests and encourage and nurture curiosity and wonder in natural sciences, reading, writing, math skills, and cultivating strong bonds with one another.
